Video Ad Pioneer Ditches Java
The fate of Java in the video world takes another hit. It really is too bad that Sun hasn’t done anything with JMF in a couple of years and Apple can’t figure out how to make QuickTime for Java usable.
Woe is me..

It would be much easier if Sun announced it’s intentions with JMF instead of letting it whither on the vine.
As for QT Java, I think it’s doing a lot better than it was the past few years with the new QT Java book out. Eventually, though, I think Flash will be replaced as well by an AJAX/video plugin solution (at least for the web)
Chris Adamson’s book is great and the only thing really keeping QT Java out there. Unfortunately, no one at Apple has any answers as to the future of QT Java nor does it seem that anyone there is working on correcting some of the issues.
In any case, the AJAX/video idea is very interesting. Any concept of how it could work?
